# Credits Explained
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/billing/credits
What LOREKEEPER credits are, how to earn them for free, credit pack prices, and everything you can spend them on.
## What Are Credits?
Credits are LOREKEEPER's flexible currency. While daily turns handle your core play sessions, credits let you unlock extras -- additional rounds, AI-generated images, new characters, campaigns, and more.
## Welcome Credits
Every new account receives **10 welcome credits** on signup. These are yours to spend however you like, no strings attached.
## Monthly Credits from Plans
Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance that refreshes each billing cycle:
| Plan | Monthly Credits |
| ---------- | --------------- |
| Free | -- |
| Aventurero | 25 |
| Heroe | 60 |
| Leyenda | 150 |
## Credit Packs
Need more credits? You can purchase packs at any time from the Store page:
| Pack | Credits | Price |
| ------ | ------- | --------- |
| Small | 15 | 2.99 EUR |
| Medium | 40 | 5.99 EUR |
| Chest | 100 | 12.99 EUR |
The Chest pack offers the best value per credit. If you find yourself buying credits regularly, it is the most efficient option.
## What Can You Spend Credits On?
* **Extra campaign rounds** -- 1 credit converts to 3 rounds. Useful when you run out of daily turns and want to keep playing.
* **AI-generated images** -- Character portraits, scene illustrations, and item art.
* **Additional characters** -- Create more heroes beyond your plan limit.
* **Additional campaigns** -- Open new worlds and stories.
* **Custom worlds** -- Build your own settings for you and your friends.
## Earning Free Credits
You do not always have to pay. There are two ways to earn credits for free:
* **Referral program:** Invite a friend using your referral code. When they sign up, you both receive **5 credits**.
* **Discord bonus:** Join the LOREKEEPER Discord server and link your account for **5 extra credits**.
Credits purchased through packs never expire. Use them whenever you are ready.
# How Daily Turns Work
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/billing/daily-turns
Everything about LOREKEEPER's daily turn system: how turns reset, what happens when you run out, and how the trial period works.
## Turns: Your Daily Play Budget
Every interaction with the AI DM costs one turn. You type an action, the DM responds -- that is one turn used. Your plan determines how many turns you get each day.
## Turn Allowances by Plan
| Plan | Daily Turns |
| ---------- | ----------- |
| Free | 20 |
| Aventurero | 30 |
| Heroe | 60 |
| Leyenda | Unlimited |
## When Do Turns Reset?
All daily turns reset at **midnight UTC**, every day. This applies to every plan equally. Unused turns do not roll over to the next day -- it is a fresh allowance each time.
Plan your longer sessions for when your turns just refreshed. A 20-turn session can easily last 30 to 45 minutes of immersive play.
## What Happens When You Run Out?
When you hit zero turns, the game pauses. You will not lose any progress -- your campaign, character state, and story are all saved. You can:
* **Wait until midnight UTC** for your turns to refresh.
* **Use credits** to convert into extra rounds (1 credit = 3 rounds) and keep playing immediately.
* **Upgrade your plan** for a higher daily allowance.
The system never kicks you out mid-scene. It finishes the current AI response before stopping.
## The Trial Period
Every new LOREKEEPER account gets a **3-day trial at Leyenda quality**. During those first three days, you experience the highest AI quality tier, regardless of which plan you are on. This includes enhanced narrative depth, better memory, and maximum response quality.
After the trial ends, your experience adjusts to match your current plan.
Turns are per-account, not per-campaign. If you have multiple campaigns, they all share the same daily pool.
# Plans Compared
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/billing/plans-compared
Compare LOREKEEPER's Free, Aventurero, Heroe, and Leyenda plans. See daily turns, credits, features, and find the right plan for you.
## Find the Right Plan

## Plan Comparison
| Feature | Free | Aventurero | Heroe | Leyenda |
| ------------------- | -------- | ----------- | ----------- | ------------ |
| **Price** | Free | 4.99 EUR/mo | 9.99 EUR/mo | 19.99 EUR/mo |

| **Text-to-Speech** | -- | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| **Campaign Memory** | -- | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| **AI Quality** | Standard | Enhanced | Enhanced | Maximum |
## Which Plan Is Right for You?
**Free** is perfect for trying LOREKEEPER out. You get 20 turns per day -- enough for a solid session -- and one campaign to explore.
**Aventurero** (4.99 EUR/mo) is ideal for regular players who want more depth. Campaign memory means the AI DM remembers your story across sessions, and 25 monthly credits give you room for images and extra rounds.
**Heroe** (9.99 EUR/mo) suits players who run multiple campaigns or characters. With 60 daily turns and 5 campaign slots, you can explore different worlds without constraint.
**Leyenda** (19.99 EUR/mo) is for power users and game enthusiasts. Unlimited turns, unlimited campaigns, maximum AI quality, and 150 monthly credits. No limits.
Every new account starts with a 3-day trial at Leyenda quality. Use those days to experience the full platform before choosing a plan.
All paid plans can be cancelled anytime. You keep your features until the end of the billing period.
# Referral Program
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/billing/referral-program
Invite friends to LOREKEEPER and earn free credits. Both you and your friend get 5 credits when they sign up with your referral code.
## Share the Adventure, Earn Credits
LOREKEEPER's referral program rewards you for bringing new players to the platform. When someone signs up using your referral code, **both of you receive 5 free credits**.
## How It Works
1. **Find your referral code.** Go to your **Profile** page or the **Invite** section. Your unique referral link and code are displayed there.
2. **Share it.** Send the link to a friend through any channel -- chat, email, social media, or carrier pigeon.
3. **They sign up.** When your friend creates a LOREKEEPER account using your referral link, the system registers the connection.
4. **Both of you earn.** Once signup is complete, 5 credits are added to your account and 5 credits to theirs. Instantly.
## What Can You Do with 5 Credits?
Five credits go further than you might think:
* Convert them to **15 extra campaign rounds** (1 credit = 3 rounds).
* Use them for an **AI-generated character portrait**.
* Save them up across multiple referrals for bigger purchases.
There is no cap on how many people you can refer. Every successful referral earns you 5 credits. Invite your whole game group and stock up.
## Where to Find Your Referral Link
* **Profile page** -- Your referral code and shareable link are shown in your account settings.
* **Invite Hub** -- A dedicated section with sharing options for social media and direct links.
## Important Details
* The referred person must be a **new account**. Existing accounts do not qualify.
* Credits are awarded **immediately** after the new user completes registration.
* Referral credits never expire.
Combine referral credits with the Discord bonus (5 credits for joining the server) to maximize your free credit balance from day one.

# How to Report a Bug
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/faq/report-a-bug
Learn the best ways to report bugs in LOREKEEPER and what information to include for a fast resolution.
## Help Us Improve
Found something broken or behaving unexpectedly? Bug reports from players are invaluable for making LOREKEEPER better. Here is how to report issues effectively.
## Fastest Way: Discord Community
The quickest way to get a response is through our **Discord community**. The development team monitors bug reports actively, and other players may have encountered the same issue and can offer workarounds.
Join the Discord server from the link in the application footer or your account settings.
## In-App Support
LOREKEEPER includes a built-in support option accessible from the application menu. Use this to send a report directly to the development team without leaving the platform.
## What to Include in Your Report
A good bug report helps us reproduce and fix the issue quickly. Please include:
* **Browser and version** -- Chrome 120, Safari 17, Firefox 121, etc.
* **Device** -- Desktop, phone model, tablet, operating system.
* **What happened** -- Describe the unexpected behavior you observed.
* **What you expected** -- Describe what should have happened instead.
* **Steps to reproduce** -- List the actions that led to the bug, if possible.
* **Screenshots or recordings** -- Visual evidence is extremely helpful.
The more specific your report, the faster we can fix it. "Combat is broken" is hard to act on. "Healing spell did not reduce damage in round 3 of a 4-player campaign" gives us everything we need.
## Known Issues and Roadmap
Some issues are already known and being worked on. Check the Discord announcements channel or the community forums for a list of known bugs and the development roadmap before submitting a report.
Every bug report is read by the development team. Even if you do not get an immediate response, your report contributes to improving the platform for everyone.

2. **Settings** -- Go to your account settings and update your language preference.
The change takes effect immediately across the entire application.
Your language preference is saved to your account, so it persists across devices and sessions.
## AI Dungeon Master Language
The AI DM responds in your selected language. Whether you are playing in Spanish, English, Catalan, or Portuguese, the narration, NPC dialogue, and combat descriptions are all generated in the language you choose.
## World Content Translation
If you build a custom world, you can translate its content to make it available in all four languages:
* Translation covers races, classes, items, spells, locations, and monsters.
* Each entity costs **1 credit** to translate.
* Translations are AI-generated and can be manually reviewed and edited.
* Translated worlds reach a wider audience in the Community Worlds browser.
World content translation is a paid feature available to world creators. It is separate from the interface language, which is free for all users.
# What AI Model Does LOREKEEPER Use?
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/faq/what-ai-model
Learn about LOREKEEPER's multi-provider AI approach and how each plan tier gets the best available model.
## Smart AI, No Configuration Needed
LOREKEEPER uses a multi-provider approach to deliver the best AI Dungeon Master experience. You never need to choose or configure an AI model -- the platform handles it automatically.
## How It Works
Instead of locking into a single AI provider, LOREKEEPER selects the best available model based on your plan tier. This means you always get optimal quality for your subscription level without any manual setup.
## AI Quality by Plan
### Free Tier
Free accounts receive a quality AI model that delivers engaging, coherent storytelling. When you first sign up, you get a **3-day trial at Legend-tier quality** so you can experience the full power of the AI DM before committing to a plan.
### Paid Tiers
Paid plans guarantee access to **premium AI models** that provide richer narratives, better memory of past events, more nuanced NPC interactions, and deeper tactical awareness during combat.
Start with the free trial to experience Legend-quality AI. You will immediately notice the depth and creativity of the Dungeon Master's storytelling.
## Continuous Improvement
As AI technology advances, LOREKEEPER upgrades the models available to each tier. These improvements happen automatically -- you benefit from better storytelling without needing to update anything or change any settings.
## Privacy and AI
Your game data is used exclusively to run your sessions. It is never fed back into AI model training. See our data privacy article for full details.
The AI DM's quality depends on more than just the model. LOREKEEPER's custom prompt engineering, context management, and world-aware systems work together to create a Dungeon Master that understands your story, your characters, and your world.
# Character Death and Resurrection
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/character-death
What happens when your character dies in LOREKEEPER: single-player revival, multiplayer permanence, and how to survive.
## Death in LOREKEEPER
Death is a real possibility in LOREKEEPER. When your character's hit points reach zero, the consequences depend on whether you are playing solo or with others.
## Single-Player: Reversible Death
In single-player campaigns, death is not the end. Your character can be resurrected, but it comes at a cost: you lose some gold and one item from your inventory. The penalty keeps death meaningful without forcing you to start over.
There are five resurrection methods:
1. **Resurrection scroll**: A rare consumable item found as loot or in shops.
2. **Divine intervention**: A deity restores you, often with a narrative twist.
3. **Resurrection quest**: Complete a trial in the afterlife to earn your return.
4. **NPC healer**: A powerful allied NPC performs the ritual.
5. **Resurrection spell**: A party member or allied caster brings you back.
The AI DM selects the method that fits the narrative context best.
Carry healing potions and pay attention to your hit points during combat. Prevention is far cheaper than resurrection.
## Multiplayer: Permanent Death
In multiplayer campaigns, death is permanent. When your character falls, they are gone. This raises the stakes considerably and encourages careful strategy, teamwork, and smart resource management.
Multiplayer permadeath makes every decision matter. Coordinate with your party, share healing items, and avoid reckless charges into overwhelming odds.
## How to Stay Alive
* Monitor your HP and use healing items before reaching critical levels.
* Equip the best armor and defensive gear available.
* Use the defend action in combat when your character is in danger.
* Focus fire on the most threatening enemies first.
* In multiplayer, support teammates who are taking heavy damage.
# Combat System Explained
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/combat-system
Understand LOREKEEPER's tactical combat: initiative, actions, damage types, status conditions, and loot.
## How Combat Begins
Combat starts when the story demands it. The AI DM rolls initiative for every participant, including enemies and allied NPCs, then announces the turn order. Each round, characters act in initiative sequence.
## Available Actions
On your turn, you can choose from several actions:
* **Attack**: Strike with your equipped weapon. The DM rolls to hit and calculates damage.
* **Cast a spell**: Use a spell from your spellbook, spending mana.
* **Use an item**: Drink a potion, throw a bomb, or activate a magic artifact.
* **Defend**: Brace yourself, gaining defensive bonuses until your next turn.
* **Flee**: Attempt to escape combat. Success depends on a skill check.
## Damage Types
LOREKEEPER features 8 damage types: **slashing, piercing, bludgeoning, fire, cold, lightning, poison, and necrotic**. Enemies may resist or be vulnerable to specific types, so choosing the right weapon or spell matters.
## Status Conditions
The system tracks around 40 status conditions, including poisoned, stunned, blessed, burning, frightened, and many more. Conditions affect combat rolls, movement, and available actions. The DM applies and removes them automatically based on duration and triggers.
Pay attention to condition effects displayed in combat. A stunned enemy is a perfect target for a heavy attack.
## Defense Summary
After every attack against you, the DM provides a defense summary explaining exactly why damage was reduced. You will see contributions from armor, shields, resistances, and active buffs, so outcomes never feel arbitrary.
## Loot
When you defeat enemies, the AI generates loot appropriate to the encounter. A bandit might drop a worn dagger and some coins, while a dragon could yield legendary treasure. Loot is genre-aware, matching your world setting.
Loot quality scales with encounter difficulty. Tougher fights yield better rewards.
# How the AI Dungeon Master Works
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/how-the-ai-dm-works
Learn how LOREKEEPER's AI DM narrates your story, manages NPCs, resolves combat, and remembers your adventure.
## Your Personal Dungeon Master
LOREKEEPER's AI Dungeon Master is the engine behind every adventure. It processes your actions in real time, weaving narrative descriptions and mechanical resolutions into a seamless experience. When you swing a sword, the DM rolls dice, calculates damage, and describes the result in a single response.
## How It Processes Actions
Every time you type an action, the AI DM handles two layers simultaneously:
* **Narrative layer**: Describes what happens in the story with vivid, genre-appropriate prose.
* **Mechanical layer**: Resolves dice rolls, damage calculations, skill checks, and status effects behind the scenes.
You never have to worry about rules. The DM applies them for you and explains outcomes clearly.
## Memory and Context
The AI DM remembers your adventure. It tracks message history, key facts about your character, campaign events, and the state of the world. When you mention an NPC you met three sessions ago, the DM knows who you are talking about.
Higher subscription tiers provide more context memory, which means the DM can recall more details and produce richer narrative.
## What the DM Manages Automatically
* **NPCs**: Creates and controls non-player characters with distinct personalities.
* **Quests**: Generates objectives dynamically based on your story choices.
* **Combat**: Handles initiative, damage, conditions, and loot distribution.
* **World state**: Tracks locations, events, and consequences of your decisions.
## Narrative Arcs
The DM follows a 7-phase pacing structure: hook, rising action, midpoint, complications, climax, falling action, and resolution. This ensures your adventure has satisfying dramatic progression rather than a random sequence of events.
The AI DM supports 11 world genres, from high fantasy to cyberpunk, and adapts its vocabulary, tone, and mechanics to match.
# Inventory and Equipment
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/inventory-and-equipment
Learn how to manage your inventory, equip gear, and find items in LOREKEEPER's AI-powered RPG.
## How Inventory Works
Your character carries items collected throughout the adventure. Everything you pick up, buy, loot, or receive as a quest reward goes into your inventory, accessible from the sidebar during gameplay.
## Equipment Slots
Characters have dedicated equipment slots:
* **Weapon**: Your primary tool for dealing damage in combat.
* **Armor**: Provides defense, reducing incoming damage.
* **Accessories**: Rings, amulets, cloaks, and other items that grant passive bonuses.
Equipping an item is as simple as selecting it from your inventory. The DM factors your equipped gear into every combat calculation automatically.
## Finding Items
There are several ways to acquire new gear:
* **Combat loot**: Defeated enemies drop items appropriate to the encounter.
* **Shops**: Visit merchants in towns and settlements to buy or sell.
* **Quest rewards**: Completing objectives often yields unique items.
* **Exploration**: Search rooms, chests, and hidden locations during exploration scenes.
Tell the DM you want to search an area. Hidden loot is often waiting for adventurers who take the time to look.
## Genre-Aware Items
LOREKEEPER adapts items to your world genre. A fantasy campaign features enchanted swords and healing potions, while a sci-fi setting offers plasma rifles and medkits. The AI DM ensures every item feels native to your chosen world.
## Managing Your Inventory
Open the inventory panel from the game sidebar to:
* View all carried items and their descriptions.
* Equip or unequip gear.
* Sort items by type or name.
* Review item stats and effects.
Inventory management is part of the strategy. Carry healing potions for emergencies and keep your best gear equipped before entering dangerous areas.
# Karmic Dice System
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/karmic-dice
How LOREKEEPER's karmic dice prevent bad luck streaks by granting advantage after consecutive failures.
## What Are Karmic Dice?
Dice rolls are the heartbeat of any tabletop RPG. Sometimes luck is on your side. Sometimes it is not. LOREKEEPER's karmic dice system ensures that prolonged streaks of bad luck never ruin your experience.
## How It Works
The system is straightforward:
1. Every failed roll is tracked for your character.
2. After **5 consecutive failures**, your character receives **advantage** on the next roll.
3. Advantage means the system rolls twice and takes the better result.
4. Once you succeed, the failure counter resets to zero.
This creates a natural safety net. You might have a rough stretch, but the game guarantees a helping hand before frustration sets in.
Karmic dice do not guarantee success. They improve your odds significantly after a bad streak, but a particularly difficult check can still fail even with advantage.
## Why Karmic Dice Exist
In tabletop RPGs, a string of bad rolls can derail an entire session. A warrior who misses five attacks in a row stops feeling heroic. A rogue who fails every lockpick attempt becomes a liability instead of an asset. Karmic dice address this without removing the randomness that makes dice exciting.
The system preserves genuine risk while eliminating the worst-case frustration scenario.
## Per-Character Tracking
Karmic dice are tracked individually per character. In a multiplayer campaign, one player's bad luck streak does not affect another player's counter. Each character earns their own advantage independently.
Karmic dice work silently in the background. You do not need to activate or manage them. The DM handles everything and will mention when advantage kicks in from the karmic system.
# NPCs and Relationships
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/npcs-and-relationships
How NPCs work in LOREKEEPER: autonomous behavior, trust and conflict mechanics, and entity dossiers.
## How NPCs Work
Non-player characters are the people, creatures, and entities that populate your world. The AI DM creates and controls them, giving each one a distinct personality, motivations, and role in the story. NPCs remember past interactions and react based on how you have treated them.
## Autonomous NPCs
On paid tiers, NPCs gain autonomy. Instead of simply responding when spoken to, autonomous NPCs act independently. They pursue their own goals, form opinions, and may take actions that surprise you. A loyal companion might intervene to protect you in combat, while a suspicious merchant could refuse to trade if they distrust you.
Autonomous NPCs make the world feel alive. Treat them well and they become valuable allies. Cross them and you may create a persistent enemy.
## Trust and Conflict
LOREKEEPER tracks two relationship metrics for every NPC:
* **Trust** (-100 to +100): How much an NPC trusts your character. High trust unlocks cooperation, secrets, and aid. Low trust leads to suspicion, deception, or hostility.
* **Conflict** (0 to 100): The level of tension between your character and the NPC. High conflict can escalate to confrontation, even with NPCs who otherwise trust you.
Your actions, dialogue choices, and quest outcomes shift these values over time, shaping how the story unfolds.
## Entity Dossiers
Every significant NPC has an entity dossier, a living document that the DM updates after each round. Dossiers track personality traits, known information, relationship status, and recent events. This ensures the DM portrays each NPC consistently across sessions.
## NPC Behavior Profiles
The AI DM uses relationship data alongside personality profiles to determine how NPCs respond to you. A brave guard with high trust acts very differently from a cowardly thief with high conflict. These profiles create emergent storytelling that adapts to your choices.
Character relationships evolve naturally. There are no dialogue wheels or preset options. Just describe how you want to interact and the DM handles the rest.
# Quests and Objectives
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/quests-and-objectives
How LOREKEEPER generates quests dynamically, tracks objectives, and lets your choices shape the world.
## How Quests Are Generated
Unlike traditional RPGs with pre-written quest lists, LOREKEEPER generates quests dynamically from your story context. The AI DM notices opportunities in the narrative, creates objectives that feel natural, and ties them to characters and events you have already encountered.
If you help a village under siege, the DM might generate a quest to track down the raiders' hideout. If you discover an ancient map, a quest to find the treasure may appear. Every quest emerges from the story you are living.
## The Quest Log
All active and completed quests are tracked in your quest log, accessible from the game sidebar. Each quest entry includes:
* **Title and description**: What the objective is and why it matters.
* **Status**: Active, completed, or failed.
* **Key details**: Relevant NPCs, locations, and clues.
Check your quest log regularly. The DM tracks details you might forget, and reviewing objectives can spark ideas for your next move.
## Quest Types
* **Main story quests**: Drive the central narrative arc forward. These are tied to the major conflict of your campaign.
* **Side quests**: Optional adventures that enrich the world. They often reward unique items or unlock new areas.
* **NPC requests**: Favors and tasks from characters you meet. Completing them builds trust and strengthens relationships.
## How Quests Affect the World
Completing or failing quests has consequences. A rescued village may become a safe haven. An ignored plea for help could lead to destruction you witness later. The AI DM weaves quest outcomes into the ongoing narrative, making your decisions feel meaningful.
There is no single correct path. The DM adapts the story to your choices, whether you follow the main quest or wander off on your own adventure.
# Scene Types and the Scene Director
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/scene-types
Explore LOREKEEPER's four scene types and how the Scene Director manages pacing, transitions, and tension.
## Four Ways to Experience Your Adventure
LOREKEEPER organizes gameplay into four distinct scene types. Each one offers a different pace, set of available actions, and narrative focus. The AI DM transitions between them naturally as the story demands.
## Exploration
Exploration scenes are about discovery. You investigate environments, search for hidden items, examine clues, and interact with the world around you. These scenes reward curiosity and attention to detail.
Common actions: search a room, examine an object, open a door, climb a wall, investigate a sound.
## Social Encounters
Social scenes focus on interaction with NPCs. Persuade a guard to let you pass, negotiate prices with a merchant, interrogate a prisoner, or charm a noble at a banquet. Your choices in social scenes shape NPC relationships and can unlock quests or information.
Social encounters are where trust and conflict mechanics matter most. How you treat NPCs in conversation directly affects their future behavior toward you.
## Combat
Combat scenes are tactical battles resolved with dice rolls, conditions, and strategic decisions. Initiative determines turn order, and you choose from actions like attacking, casting spells, using items, defending, or fleeing. Combat is where the mechanical depth of LOREKEEPER truly shines.
## Travel
Travel scenes cover journeys between locations. The DM describes the landscape, weather, and passage of time. Random encounters may occur during travel, leading to combat, social interactions, or discoveries along the road.
## The Scene Director
Behind the scenes, the Scene Director manages transitions and dramatic pacing. It tracks narrative tension across a 7-phase arc structure: hook, rising action, midpoint, complications, climax, falling action, and resolution. This ensures your adventure builds naturally toward satisfying dramatic peaks rather than feeling flat or random.
You do not need to think about scene types while playing. The DM handles transitions automatically. Just describe what your character does, and the system responds with the appropriate scene context.
# Session Recap
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/session-recap
How LOREKEEPER's AI DM summarizes your previous session so you never lose track of your adventure.
## Never Lose Your Place
Life gets busy. You might step away from your adventure for hours, days, or even weeks. LOREKEEPER's session recap feature ensures you can always pick up exactly where you left off without confusion.
## How It Works
When you return to a campaign after a gap of 30 minutes or more, the AI DM automatically detects the break. Before continuing the story, it generates a concise recap of what happened in your previous session.
The recap covers:
* **Key events**: Major story beats, combat outcomes, and important discoveries.
* **NPC interactions**: Who you spoke to and what was discussed.
* **Quest progress**: Updates on your active objectives.
* **Current situation**: Where your character is and what they were doing when you left.
Read the recap carefully. It often reminds you of details and clues that are easy to forget between sessions.
## Seamless Continuation
After the recap, the DM transitions smoothly back into the narrative. There is no awkward restart or need to re-explain your intentions. You are back in the story as if you never left.
## Designed for Real Life
Not everyone can play for hours in a single sitting. Session recap is built for the reality of modern life: play for 20 minutes on your lunch break, come back in the evening, and the DM bridges the gap for you.
Session recaps are injected into the AI's context automatically. The DM does not just summarize for you, it also refreshes its own memory of your adventure to maintain narrative consistency.
# Spellbook and Magic System
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/gameplay/spellbook-and-magic
Discover how magic works in LOREKEEPER: learning spells, managing mana, spell schools, and casting.
## How Magic Works
In LOREKEEPER, characters with magical abilities maintain a spellbook containing all their learned spells. Magic is a powerful tool in both combat and exploration, but it requires careful mana management to use effectively.
## Learning Spells
Characters learn spells through several paths:
* **Leveling up**: Gain access to new spells as your character grows.
* **Story events**: The DM may offer spell learning through mentors, ancient tomes, or magical discoveries.
* **Quest rewards**: Completing certain quests can unlock unique spells.
Once learned, a spell is permanently added to your spellbook and can be cast whenever you have enough mana.
## Mana Cost and Management
Every spell costs mana to cast. More powerful spells require more mana. Your mana pool regenerates over time or through rest, potions, and certain items. Running out of mana mid-combat means relying on weapons and items until you recover.
Keep a few mana potions in your inventory for long encounters. Running dry at a critical moment can turn the tide against you.
## Spell Schools
Spells are organized into schools that define their nature and effects. Schools include categories like elemental magic, healing, illusion, necromancy, and more. Each school has its own flavor and strategic role.
## Casting in Combat vs Exploration
* **In combat**: Casting a spell uses your turn action. The DM resolves the spell's effect, including damage, healing, or condition application, using dice mechanics.
* **In exploration**: Spells can solve puzzles, reveal hidden paths, charm NPCs, or provide utility. There is no turn pressure, but mana is still consumed.
The AI DM adapts spell descriptions to your world genre. A fire spell in a fantasy world and an energy blast in a sci-fi setting may share mechanics but feel completely different.
# Choosing a World and Character
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/getting-started/choosing-world-and-character
Explore LOREKEEPER's 11 world genres, learn the difference between official and community worlds, and pick the right character for your adventure.
## Your World, Your Rules
Before every adventure begins, you make two key choices: the world you will explore and the character you will play. Both shape the entire experience.
## Available World Genres
LOREKEEPER offers 11 distinct genres, each with its own tone, setting, and narrative style:
* **Fantasy** -- Classic swords and sorcery. Dragons, magic, medieval kingdoms.
* **Dark Fantasy** -- Grittier and more dangerous. Think cursed lands and moral ambiguity.
* **Sci-Fi** -- Spaceships, alien civilizations, futuristic technology.
* **Cyberpunk** -- Neon-lit megacities, corporate dystopia, hacking, and augmentation.
* **Post-Apocalyptic** -- Survival in a broken world after catastrophe.
* And several more, including horror, steampunk, and mythological settings.
Each genre comes with pre-built official worlds designed by the LOREKEEPER team. Community worlds created by other players are also available in some genres.
If this is your first time, **Mokgard** (fantasy) is the most beginner-friendly world with rich lore and balanced encounters.
## Picking Your Character
You have two paths when creating a character:
### Pre-Made Heroes
These come fully configured with a name, backstory, race, class, spells, and equipment. They are designed to fit their world and are the fastest way to start playing.
### Archetypes
Choose a class archetype (warrior, mage, rogue, healer, etc.) and customize from there. You pick a race, adjust your backstory, and the AI DM fills in the rest.
## Race and Class in LOREKEEPER
* **Race** defines your character's species and may affect certain stats or narrative options (elf, dwarf, human, android, etc.).
* **Class** defines your combat role and abilities (fighter, sorcerer, ranger, etc.).
The combination of race and class creates a unique playstyle that the AI DM adapts to throughout your campaign.
You can create multiple characters across different campaigns. Experiment freely -- each world rewards different approaches.
# Creating Your First Campaign
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/getting-started/first-campaign
Step-by-step guide to starting your first LOREKEEPER campaign using Quick Start. Pick a world, choose a hero, and play in under 2 minutes.
## Quick Start: From Zero to Adventure
LOREKEEPER's Quick Start flow gets you into a game in under two minutes. No complex setup, no rulebook -- just pick, name, and play.
## Step 1: Choose a World
After signing in, hit **Quick Start** and you will see a selection of world genres. Each one sets the tone for your adventure: high fantasy, dark fantasy, sci-fi, cyberpunk, and more.
New to LOREKEEPER? We recommend **Mokgard**, a classic fantasy world with familiar tropes -- swords, magic, taverns, and dragons. It is the best way to learn the ropes.
## Step 2: Choose Your Hero
Next, pick a pre-made hero or select an archetype to build from. Pre-made heroes come with a backstory, class, race, and starting equipment already configured. Archetypes let you customize a bit more while still keeping setup fast.
Don't overthink it -- you can always create new characters later.
## Step 3: Name Your Character
Give your character a name. This is how the AI DM will address you throughout the story. Pick something that fits the world, or go with whatever makes you smile.
## Step 4: Play
That is it. The AI DM will set the scene, introduce your surroundings, and hand you the reins. Type what your character does and watch the story unfold.
## Tips for Your First Session
* **Be descriptive.** Instead of "I attack," try "I charge at the goblin with my axe, aiming for its shield arm."
* **Explore freely.** Talk to NPCs, inspect objects, wander off the path. The AI adapts.
* **Don't worry about dying.** Combat is forgiving early on, and you will learn the mechanics as you go.
Your first 3 days include a trial at Leyenda quality -- the highest tier. Make the most of it.
# Your First Combat Encounter
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/getting-started/first-combat
How combat works in LOREKEEPER: initiative, actions, damage types, conditions, and what happens when you win your first fight.
## When Swords Are Drawn
Combat in LOREKEEPER is tactical, turn-based, and driven by the AI DM. It can start when you provoke a fight, stumble into an ambush, or when the story demands it. You do not need to memorize rules -- the system handles the mechanics while you focus on making decisions.
## Initiative
When combat begins, the AI DM rolls initiative for everyone involved -- your character, allies, and enemies. This determines the turn order. Higher initiative means you act sooner.
## Your Turn: What You Can Do
On your turn, you can take one of several actions:
* **Attack** -- Strike an enemy with your weapon. Damage depends on your stats and equipment.
* **Cast a spell** -- Use a spell from your spellbook. Spells can deal damage, heal allies, or apply conditions.
* **Use an item** -- Drink a potion, throw a bomb, or activate a magical artifact.
* **Flee** -- Attempt to disengage and escape the encounter.
Be creative with your actions. Telling the AI DM "I flip the table for cover and throw my dagger" is more fun than just "I attack" -- and the AI rewards it.
## Damage, Conditions, and HP
Attacks deal specific **damage types** (slashing, fire, necrotic, etc.), and enemies may resist or be vulnerable to certain types. **Conditions** like poisoned, stunned, or frightened affect what a character can do on their turn.
Your character has **HP (Hit Points)**. When HP drops to zero, your character falls. Healing spells, potions, or rest can restore it.
## Winning a Fight
When all enemies are defeated, the AI DM wraps up the encounter. You may earn experience, loot, or narrative progression. Some fights unlock new story paths.
LOREKEEPER uses karmic dice -- the system subtly adjusts luck to keep combat dramatic without being punishing, especially for newer players.
# Understanding Turns and Credits
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/getting-started/turns-and-credits
Learn how daily turns and credits work in LOREKEEPER, including reset times, plan limits, and how to convert credits into extra rounds.
## Two Currencies, One Adventure
LOREKEEPER uses two systems to manage your playtime: **daily turns** and **credits**. Understanding both will help you get the most out of every session.
## Daily Turns
A **turn** is one complete interaction with the AI DM. You describe an action, the AI responds -- that is one turn.
Each plan comes with a daily turn allowance:
| Plan | Daily Turns |
| ---------- | ----------- |
| Free | 20 |
| Aventurero | 30 |
| Heroe | 60 |
| Leyenda | Unlimited |
Daily turns **reset at midnight UTC** every day. Unused turns do not carry over.
Not sure what time midnight UTC is for you? A quick search for "midnight UTC in my timezone" will sort it out.
## What Happens When You Run Out
When your daily turns are depleted, you will hit a soft wall. You have two options:
1. **Come back tomorrow** -- your turns reset at midnight UTC.
2. **Use credits** to convert into extra rounds and keep playing.
## Credits
Credits are a secondary currency used for extras across the platform. You receive **10 welcome credits** when you sign up, and paid plans include a monthly credit allowance.
Credits can be spent on:
* **Extra campaign rounds** (1 credit = 3 rounds)
* AI-generated images
* Additional characters and campaigns
* Custom worlds
## Earning Free Credits
You do not always have to buy credits. There are a few ways to earn them for free:
* **Referral program:** Invite a friend and you both get 5 credits.
* **Discord bonus:** Join the LOREKEEPER Discord and link your account for 5 extra credits.
Credits purchased through packs never expire. Monthly credits from your subscription are refreshed each billing cycle.
# What Is LOREKEEPER?
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/getting-started/what-is-lorekeeper
Learn what LOREKEEPER is, how the AI Game Master works, and why you don't need a group to play tabletop RPGs anymore.
## A Tabletop RPG, Reimagined
LOREKEEPER is an AI-powered virtual tabletop RPG platform. You create a character, pick a world, and dive into a story narrated by an intelligent AI Game Master -- always available, always ready to play.
No scheduling conflicts. No waiting for your group to be free on a Thursday night. Just open the app and start your adventure.
## How It Works
The AI DM (Dungeon Master) drives the narrative. It describes scenes, controls non-player characters, resolves combat, tracks your inventory, and remembers what happened in previous sessions. You interact through natural language -- type what your character does, and the world responds.
Think of it as a living, breathing story that adapts to your choices in real time.
## What You Can Do
* **Create campaigns** across 11 world genres, from classic fantasy to cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic settings.
* **Build characters** with distinct races, classes, spells, and equipment.
* **Explore and fight** through tactical combat with initiative, conditions, damage types, and karmic dice.
* **Play with friends** in multiplayer sessions with up to 6 players, each with a defined role like Leader, Scout, or Healer.
* **Play solo** whenever you want -- the AI DM is always on.
## How It Differs from Traditional TTRPGs
In a traditional tabletop RPG, you need a human Game Master and a group of players who can all meet at the same time. LOREKEEPER removes that barrier. The AI DM is available 24/7, sessions last as long as you want, and you can pause and resume at any time.
New to tabletop RPGs? LOREKEEPER is a great place to start. The AI DM will guide you through everything -- no rulebook required.
# How to Invite Friends to Your Campaign
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/multiplayer/invite-friends
Learn how to invite friends to join your LOREKEEPER campaign using a share link or invite code.
## Sharing Your Adventure
Playing LOREKEEPER with friends is one of the best ways to experience a tabletop RPG. Every campaign supports up to 6 players on all plans, including the free tier.
## How to Invite Players
There are two ways to bring friends into your campaign:
### Share Link
From your campaign dashboard, click the **Invite Players** button. This generates a unique link you can send via chat, email, or social media. Anyone with the link can request to join.
### Invite Code
Each campaign has a short invite code displayed on the campaign page. Share this code with your friends and they can enter it from their dashboard to find and join your game.
## What Your Friends Need
Your friends only need a **free LOREKEEPER account** to join. They do not need a paid subscription. Once they create an account and accept the invitation, they can build their character and jump into the story.
Friends can sign up and join in under two minutes. Send them the link and they will be ready before the next session.
## Who Pays for the Game?
The campaign owner funds the adventure. Your daily turns are consumed when any player in the campaign takes actions. This means your friends play for free while you manage the turn budget.
Plan your sessions around your available daily turns. Upgrading your plan gives the whole group more turns to work with.
## Managing Your Party
As the campaign owner, you can view pending invitations, accept or decline join requests, and remove players from the campaign settings page. You also have full control over campaign configuration and pacing.
# Party Mode: Shared Screen Gaming
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/multiplayer/party-mode
Learn about Party Mode in LOREKEEPER -- shared screen with voiced AI DM for in-person game nights.
## What Is Party Mode?
Party Mode transforms LOREKEEPER into a shared-screen tabletop experience with a voiced AI Dungeon Master. Gather your friends around one device, and the AI DM narrates your adventure out loud while everyone plays together in the same room.
## Availability
Party Mode is available on **Hero** and **Legend** plans. If you are on a free or Adventurer plan, you can upgrade from your account settings to unlock this feature.
## How to Start a Party Mode Session
1. Open your multiplayer campaign from the dashboard.
2. Select **Party Mode** from the session options.
3. Choose your audio output device and adjust the volume.
4. The AI DM will begin narrating in voice. All players interact through the shared screen.
Connect your device to a TV or large monitor for the best experience. A Bluetooth speaker makes the voiced DM even more immersive.
## Best Use Cases
Party Mode is designed for **in-person game nights**. Instead of everyone staring at their own phone, the group shares one screen while the AI DM speaks the narrative aloud. It captures the feeling of sitting around a table with a real Game Master.
Great scenarios for Party Mode:
* Weekend game nights with friends
* Introducing new players to tabletop RPGs
* Family-friendly adventures with younger players
* Convention demos or game showcases
Each player still needs their own LOREKEEPER account to control their character. Party Mode handles the shared display and voice narration, while individual actions are managed through the session interface.
## Tips for a Great Session
* Assign roles before starting so the group is organized.
* Keep the device charged or plugged in for longer sessions.
* Use a quiet room so the voiced DM is easy to hear.
# Player Roles in Multiplayer Campaigns
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/multiplayer/roles
Understand the six multiplayer roles in LOREKEEPER and how they shape your party's story.
## Roles That Shape the Story
In LOREKEEPER multiplayer campaigns, each player can take on a role that influences how the AI Dungeon Master interacts with them. Roles add depth to the group dynamic and give every player a meaningful function beyond combat.
## Available Roles
### Leader
The face of the party. The Leader makes tie-breaking decisions during group votes and is often addressed first by NPCs in diplomatic situations.
### Treasurer
Manages the party's shared gold, supplies, and group inventory. The AI DM directs trade and loot distribution through the Treasurer.
### Scout
The eyes and ears of the group. Scouts receive extra environmental details and are the first to notice hidden paths, traps, or approaching danger.
### Healer
The party's lifeline. Healers get priority prompts during injury events and the AI DM factors their presence into recovery and rest outcomes.
### Muscle
The frontline enforcer. Muscle characters are highlighted in physical confrontations and the AI DM gives them narrative weight in combat encounters.
### Speaker
The smooth talker. Speakers excel in social encounters, negotiations, and persuasion. The AI DM gives them unique dialogue options with NPCs.
You can also choose "None" if you prefer not to have a specific role. The AI DM will treat your character as a generalist.
## Assigning and Changing Roles
Roles are selected during character creation or from the party management screen. You can change your role at any time between sessions. Only one player can hold each role at a time.
The AI Dungeon Master uses your role to personalize encounters, dialogue, and narrative moments. Choosing a role that fits your character concept will enrich your experience.
# Shared Resources and Group Inventory
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/multiplayer/shared-resources
Learn how group inventory, gold, supplies, mounts, and vehicles work in LOREKEEPER multiplayer.
## Adventuring Together Means Sharing
In multiplayer campaigns, your party shares a pool of resources that everyone depends on. Managing these well can mean the difference between survival and disaster.
## Group Inventory
The group inventory holds items that belong to the party rather than individual characters. Quest items, shared loot, and communal equipment all live here. Any player can view the group inventory, but the Treasurer role has special authority over distribution.
## Gold
Gold is pooled at the party level. When the group earns rewards, gold goes into the shared fund. Purchases from merchants and services draw from this same pool. The Treasurer manages spending decisions and the AI DM routes trade interactions through them.
## Supplies
Supplies are consumable resources that sustain the party during travel and exploration:
* **Rations** -- Food for the journey. Running out affects morale and stamina.
* **Torches** -- Light sources for dark environments. Essential in dungeons and caves.
* **Healing Kits** -- Medical supplies for treating wounds outside of magic.
* **Rope** -- Useful for climbing, binding, and creative problem-solving.
* **Tents** -- Shelter for rest. Improves recovery during camp.
The AI DM tracks supply consumption automatically based on the party's actions and travel distance. Keep an eye on your stock before long journeys.
## Mounts and Vehicles
Your party can acquire mounts and vehicles that affect travel speed and carrying capacity. These are shared assets managed from the group inventory screen.
Assign the Treasurer role to a detail-oriented player. Good resource management keeps the whole party alive and well-equipped for whatever the AI DM throws at you.
# How the Voting System Works
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/multiplayer/voting-system
Understand how LOREKEEPER's voting system resolves party decisions in multiplayer campaigns.
## Making Decisions as a Group
When your party faces a critical choice, LOREKEEPER uses a voting system to let every player have a say. This keeps the game fair and gives everyone agency in shaping the story.
## When Voting Is Triggered
The AI Dungeon Master triggers a vote when the party encounters a decision that affects the whole group. Examples include choosing which path to take, whether to fight or negotiate, or how to spend shared resources. Not every decision requires a vote -- only significant branching moments.
## How Votes Are Resolved
### Consensus
If all players agree on the same option, the decision is made immediately and the story continues.
### Majority
When players disagree, the option with the most votes wins. The AI DM narrates the outcome based on the majority decision.
### Tie with Timeout
If votes are evenly split, a configurable timeout begins. Players have a window to change their vote or discuss. If the tie persists when the timer expires, the Leader's vote breaks the tie.
The Leader role carries extra weight in tied votes. If your group often disagrees, having a trusted Leader helps keep the story moving.
## Configurable Timeout
The campaign Leader can adjust the voting timeout duration from the campaign settings. Shorter timeouts keep the pace fast. Longer timeouts give the group more time to deliberate.
## Email Reminders
If a player has not voted and the timeout is approaching, LOREKEEPER sends an email reminder prompting them to cast their vote. This prevents one inactive player from stalling the entire party.
Email reminders are sent automatically. Players should check their inbox if they step away during an active vote.
# Exploring Community Worlds
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/world-building/community-worlds
Browse, rate, and play in worlds created by the LOREKEEPER community. Find your next adventure.
## A Universe Built by Players
LOREKEEPER's community worlds let you explore settings created by other players. From dark cyberpunk cities to sprawling fantasy kingdoms, there is always a new world waiting for your next campaign.
## Browsing Worlds
Visit the **Community Worlds** section from the main dashboard to see published worlds. You can filter by genre, language, and rating to find exactly what you are looking for. Each world listing shows a description, genre, content count, and star rating.
## Star Ratings and Reviews
After playing in a community world, you can rate it from 1 to 5 stars. Ratings help other players discover quality content and give world creators valuable feedback on their work.
Leave a rating after your first session. Even a quick star rating helps the community surface the best worlds.
## Starting a Campaign in a Community World
Found a world you love? Starting a campaign is straightforward:
1. Open the world's detail page.
2. Click **Start Campaign** or **Create Campaign in This World**.
3. Configure your campaign settings (name, player count, difficulty).
4. Invite your friends or start a solo adventure.
The world's races, classes, items, spells, locations, and monsters are all available to your campaign from the start.
## Featured and Official Worlds
Some worlds are highlighted as **Featured** based on community ratings and editorial picks. Official worlds created by the LOREKEEPER team are also available and serve as great starting points for new players.
Community worlds are created by players like you. If you enjoy a world, consider building and sharing your own. Check out the World Building guides to get started.
# Creating Your Own World
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/world-building/create-your-world
Step-by-step guide to building a custom world in LOREKEEPER using the World Builder wizard and AI assistant.
## Build the World You Want to Play In
LOREKEEPER lets you create fully custom worlds with their own races, classes, items, spells, locations, and monsters. Your imagination sets the limits.
## Requirements
World creation requires a **paid plan** with an available editable world slot. The number of world slots depends on your subscription tier. Check your plan details in account settings to see how many slots you have.
## The World Creation Wizard
Creating a world starts with a guided wizard:
1. **Name** -- Give your world a memorable name.
2. **Genre** -- Choose from 11 available genres (Classic Fantasy, Cyberpunk, Space Opera, and more).
3. **Description** -- Write a summary that captures the tone and setting of your world.
Once the basics are set, you land in the World Editor where the real building begins.
## Adding Content
From the World Editor, you can create and manage:
* **Races** -- Define species with unique attributes and lore.
* **Classes** -- Design character archetypes with distinct abilities.
* **Items** -- Craft weapons, armor, potions, and artifacts.
* **Spells** -- Build magical abilities with effects and costs.
* **Locations** -- Map out cities, dungeons, wilderness, and landmarks.
* **Monsters** -- Populate your world with creatures and enemies.
Start with a few core races and classes, then expand as your campaigns reveal what your world needs. You do not have to build everything at once.
## World Builder Bot
Every world comes with access to the **World Builder Bot**, an AI assistant that helps you generate content. Describe what you want and the bot creates drafts for races, items, locations, and more. Free plans include 20 messages; paid plans get additional capacity.
The World Builder Bot generates suggestions that you can edit and refine. You always have final say over what goes into your world.
# Genres and Narrative Styles
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/world-building/genres-and-styles
Explore LOREKEEPER's 11 genres and learn how they shape narrative tone, equipment, and storytelling.
## Choose Your Genre, Shape Your Story
LOREKEEPER offers 11 distinct genres, each with its own narrative tone, vocabulary, and equipment style. Your genre choice fundamentally shapes how the AI Dungeon Master tells your story.
## Available Genres
### Fantasy
* **Classic Fantasy** -- Swords, sorcery, and heroic quests in a balanced medieval setting.
* **Dark Fantasy** -- Grim, morally ambiguous worlds where survival is never guaranteed.
* **High Fantasy / Epic** -- Grand-scale adventures with powerful magic and world-shaking stakes.
* **Soulslike Fantasy** -- Brutal difficulty, cryptic lore, and punishing encounters inspired by the Souls genre.
* **Japanese Dark Fantasy** -- Eastern aesthetics meet dark themes, blending samurai honor with supernatural horror.
* **Political Fantasy** -- Intrigue, alliances, and betrayal. The battlefield is the court.
* **Nine Realms (Norse)** -- Viking mythology brought to life with gods, giants, and fate.
### Science Fiction
* **Space Opera** -- Starships, alien civilizations, and galaxy-spanning conflict.
* **Cyberpunk** -- Neon-lit streets, corporate dystopia, and high-tech rebellion.
### Other
* **Pirate Adventure** -- High seas, buried treasure, and swashbuckling action.
* **Cosmic Horror** -- Unknowable entities, creeping dread, and fragile sanity.
## Genre-Aware Equipment
The AI DM adapts equipment to your genre. A fantasy warrior wields enchanted swords and chain mail. A cyberpunk operative carries plasma pistols and neural implants. You never see medieval armor in a space station unless your world design says so.
Not sure which genre to pick? Classic Fantasy is a safe starting point. Dark Fantasy and Cosmic Horror are great for experienced players who want a challenge.
## How Genre Affects the AI DM
Your genre selection shapes:
* **Narrative tone** -- Heroic optimism vs bleak survival vs cosmic dread.
* **Vocabulary** -- Period-appropriate language and terminology.
* **Encounter design** -- Combat, puzzles, and social encounters tuned to the genre.
* **NPC behavior** -- Characters act according to the genre's conventions and themes.
You can create custom worlds in any genre using the World Builder. Mix genres if you want -- a cyberpunk world with magical elements is entirely valid.
# Custom Races, Classes, Items, and More
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/world-building/races-classes-custom
Create custom races, classes, items, spells, and monsters for your LOREKEEPER world.
## Make It Yours
One of LOREKEEPER's most powerful features is the ability to create fully custom content for your worlds. Every race, class, item, spell, and monster you design becomes part of the living world your AI Dungeon Master uses to tell stories.
## Custom Races
Define new species with their own identity:
* **Name and description** -- Who they are and where they come from.
* **Attributes** -- Stat modifiers that affect gameplay.
* **Lore** -- Cultural background, history, and traits that the AI DM weaves into the narrative.
## Custom Classes
Build character archetypes from scratch:
* **Name and description** -- The class identity and fantasy.
* **Abilities** -- Unique skills and powers available to characters of this class.
* **Progression** -- How the class evolves as characters grow.
## Custom Items and Spells
Populate your world with unique gear and magic:
* **Items** -- Weapons, armor, consumables, quest objects, and artifacts with custom stats and effects.
* **Spells** -- Magical abilities with descriptions, costs, and mechanical effects.
The AI DM reads your item and spell descriptions to determine how they work in the narrative. Detailed descriptions lead to richer storytelling.
## Custom Monsters
Design creatures and enemies for your world:
* **Stats and abilities** -- Define how tough they are and what they can do.
* **Behavior and lore** -- The AI DM uses this to roleplay monsters with personality and tactics.
## How Custom Content Works with the AI DM
Everything you create is fed directly into the AI Dungeon Master's context. When a player encounters your custom race, uses your custom spell, or fights your custom monster, the AI DM references your descriptions and stats to generate accurate, immersive responses.
Well-written descriptions give the AI DM better material to work with. A few sentences of lore go a long way toward making encounters memorable.
# Sharing Your World with the Community
Source: https://help.lore-keeper.com/world-building/sharing-your-world
Learn how to publish your LOREKEEPER world, get star ratings, and translate it for a global audience.
## Let Others Play in Your World
After building a world you are proud of, you can share it with the entire LOREKEEPER community. Other players can browse, rate, and start campaigns in your creation.
## Publishing Your World
To publish your world:
1. Open your world from the **My Worlds** section.
2. Review your content to make sure races, classes, items, and locations are complete.
3. Click **Publish to Community** from the world settings.
4. Your world becomes visible in the Community Worlds browser.
You can unpublish at any time if you want to make changes privately before sharing again.
## Star Ratings and Feedback
Once published, players who use your world can rate it from 1 to 5 stars. High-rated worlds appear more prominently in search results and may be selected as Featured worlds by the editorial team.
A compelling world description and well-defined starter content (at least a few races, classes, and locations) tend to earn the highest ratings.
## World Visibility
You control whether your world is **private** or **public**:
* **Private** -- Only you can use this world in your campaigns.
* **Public** -- Published to the community for anyone to discover and play in.
## Translating Your World
LOREKEEPER supports four languages: Spanish, English, Catalan, and Portuguese. You can translate your world's content to make it accessible to a wider audience.
* Translation is available from the World Editor.
* Each entity (race, class, item, spell, location, monster) costs **1 credit** to translate.
* Translations are generated by AI and can be reviewed and edited by you.
Translating your world dramatically increases its reach. A world available in all four languages can be discovered by the entire LOREKEEPER player base.
