Roles That Shape the Story

In LOREKEEPER multiplayer campaigns, each player can take on a role that influences how the AI Dungeon Master interacts with them. Roles add depth to the group dynamic and give every player a meaningful function beyond combat.

Available Roles

Leader

The face of the party. The Leader makes tie-breaking decisions during group votes and is often addressed first by NPCs in diplomatic situations.

Treasurer

Manages the party’s shared gold, supplies, and group inventory. The AI DM directs trade and loot distribution through the Treasurer.

Scout

The eyes and ears of the group. Scouts receive extra environmental details and are the first to notice hidden paths, traps, or approaching danger.

Healer

The party’s lifeline. Healers get priority prompts during injury events and the AI DM factors their presence into recovery and rest outcomes.

Muscle

The frontline enforcer. Muscle characters are highlighted in physical confrontations and the AI DM gives them narrative weight in combat encounters.

Speaker

The smooth talker. Speakers excel in social encounters, negotiations, and persuasion. The AI DM gives them unique dialogue options with NPCs.
You can also choose “None” if you prefer not to have a specific role. The AI DM will treat your character as a generalist.

Assigning and Changing Roles

Roles are selected during character creation or from the party management screen. You can change your role at any time between sessions. Only one player can hold each role at a time.
The AI Dungeon Master uses your role to personalize encounters, dialogue, and narrative moments. Choosing a role that fits your character concept will enrich your experience.
