Making Decisions as a Group
When your party faces a critical choice, LOREKEEPER uses a voting system to let every player have a say. This keeps the game fair and gives everyone agency in shaping the story. When Voting Is Triggered
The AI Dungeon Master triggers a vote when the party encounters a decision that affects the whole group. Examples include choosing which path to take, whether to fight or negotiate, or how to spend shared resources. Not every decision requires a vote — only significant branching moments. How Votes Are Resolved
Consensus
If all players agree on the same option, the decision is made immediately and the story continues.Majority
When players disagree, the option with the most votes wins. The AI DM narrates the outcome based on the majority decision.Tie with Timeout
If votes are evenly split, a configurable timeout begins. Players have a window to change their vote or discuss. If the tie persists when the timer expires, the Leader’s vote breaks the tie.Configurable Timeout
The campaign Leader can adjust the voting timeout duration from the campaign settings. Shorter timeouts keep the pace fast. Longer timeouts give the group more time to deliberate.Email Reminders
If a player has not voted and the timeout is approaching, LOREKEEPER sends an email reminder prompting them to cast their vote. This prevents one inactive player from stalling the entire party.Email reminders are sent automatically. Players should check their inbox if they step away during an active vote.
