How Inventory Works

Your character carries items collected throughout the adventure. Everything you pick up, buy, loot, or receive as a quest reward goes into your inventory, accessible from the sidebar during gameplay.

Equipment Slots

Characters have dedicated equipment slots:
  • Weapon: Your primary tool for dealing damage in combat.
  • Armor: Provides defense, reducing incoming damage.
  • Accessories: Rings, amulets, cloaks, and other items that grant passive bonuses.
Equipping an item is as simple as selecting it from your inventory. The DM factors your equipped gear into every combat calculation automatically.

Finding Items

There are several ways to acquire new gear:
  • Combat loot: Defeated enemies drop items appropriate to the encounter.
  • Shops: Visit merchants in towns and settlements to buy or sell.
  • Quest rewards: Completing objectives often yields unique items.
  • Exploration: Search rooms, chests, and hidden locations during exploration scenes.
Tell the DM you want to search an area. Hidden loot is often waiting for adventurers who take the time to look.

Genre-Aware Items

LOREKEEPER adapts items to your world genre. A fantasy campaign features enchanted swords and healing potions, while a sci-fi setting offers plasma rifles and medkits. The AI DM ensures every item feels native to your chosen world.

Managing Your Inventory

Open the inventory panel from the game sidebar to:
  • View all carried items and their descriptions.
  • Equip or unequip gear.
  • Sort items by type or name.
  • Review item stats and effects.
Inventory management is part of the strategy. Carry healing potions for emergencies and keep your best gear equipped before entering dangerous areas.
